This project presented a series of design problems, mainly because the original house sat very uncomfortably on the plot, sitting at a strange angle to the boundary.The entrance levels were also tricky, but by adding a new wing in line with the plot, and an entrance hall at a half-landing level, we created a superb contemporary family home on the edge of Tilford.
