Walden was originally part of a larger Arts & Crafts house on a prominent corner in Farnham, which was split to create two semi-detached homes.
The garden was divided and when we were appointed, the driveway opened onto a busy road. We suggested moving the entrance onto the quieter side road, which gave the house back its rear garden, which previously had just been driveway and parking. We proposed demolishing an ugly red brick box extension, built in the 1970’s, and replaced it with a mirror of the front turret at first floor level, splayed out to create a bright and spacious family room on the ground floor. These changes have turned an awkward tired old house into a modern family home while retaining and enhancing its period character.
Fabulous! Thanks so much. Really appreciate your expertise and support.

“One would always like cost to be kept to a minimum but we feel that we could have been charged a lot more, so we think the service was good value.”
“Just been to the house and it’s looking great. Smiles all round from my point of view – looks awesome.”
“The council… would suggest this design and layout be adopted for other similar developments.”
“The extension was the right decision, it looks great and the roof design makes it look as if it’s always been here. Great design!”
